Just a brief on my backround. I’ ve been in hairdressing for about 28years. Apprentice of The Year (that was way back when… ) Had my own salon for 22 years, in the East Rand Mall, Boksburg, Johannesburg, South Africa. Very big,very busy salon. Loved it! Alot of exciting hairdressing happening there.
Only forty two salons in Johannesburg were awarded a Phd in hairdressing Trendsetters Hair was one of them. Don’ t laugh. Phd stands for Progressive Hairdressing.

We moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2005 for three years, where I opened a new salon , Square Hair , in North Vancouver. Square Hair was set for high sites with the possibilty of a nomination to become one of the official stylists for Marciano, the designers of Guess. Marciano released a unique fashion range simply called ‘Marciano’. But I couldn’t bear the weather. Canada was fabulous! But coming from sunny South Africa to a cold climate, especially Vancouver where there’ s an excessive amount of rain and grey skies, I just couldn’t cut it.
So I had to say goodbye to Michelle Pfeiffer , one of my very special clients, a lovely lady, and as beautiful as you see her, and goodbye to my Canadian clients, and take up in sunny Brisbane.
Love Brisbane! What’ s there not to love?? The most beautiful spot on the planet. And there’ s nought to beat the Australians. Bright , sunny , happy , warm people. Australian people renew your faith in life. I’ m here for life and now I’ m so excited to get started with my hairdressing…
