Yes, you may style your hair in any way that you wish, since your hair has a natural elasticity. Your hair is partly made up of salt links. It is the salt links that enable the shape of hair to be changed by styling. Wetting your hair causes salt links break apart, after which you may create your desired style. Just as you would with naturally straight, hair use and finish with a hairspray in order to help the style last. You are able to change your hairstyle whether you have chemically straightened hair or naturally straight hair.
What Is the Difference Between Chemical Straightening And Keratin Straightening
Chemical straightening is simply the re-arrangement of disulphide bonds in your hair. The result is naturally straight hair where the bonds are in a straight line. Hair is free to style in any way after that. Hair may be difficult to style after repeated applications of keratin straightening as it builds a heavy protein into the hair.
Can I Still Create Curls Such As ‘Ghd’ Curls With My Straightening Iron After Chemical Straightening?
Yes. It is just like creating ‘Ghd’ curls in naturally straight hair. Just use a curling or thermal spray as usual, to help form a good ‘ghd’ curl.
Note: In order for hair to be permed and made curly, the process is to break the disulphide bond and change the shape of the hair with perm rollers, to form curls. Chemical straightening breaks the disulphide bonds but since we do not roll the hair into perm rollers, the hair becomes straight. It is the same application, but the techniques are different to achieve opposite results.
